Pre-Orders

If a textbook says "Pre-Order" on its details page...

To pre-order, a payment must be received to be guaranteed a textbook. Textbooks will be shipped the week of August 24th, 2009 if pre-ordered by August 10th. If textbooks are ordered after August 10th, we cannot guarantee that they will be delivered to you on time for when school starts, but we will try to get them to you as soon as possible. Many pre-order textbooks will not be stocked and it takes approximately 2 1/2 weeks to get pre-order textbooks back in stock.

Return Policy

We value your business

We will accept any and all returns up to 5 business days after the customer has received the textbook(s). If the books are noticeably damaged in any way, shape, or form, we will not refund your money. This does not mean we must receive the intended return within 5 business days, but it does mean we must receive an email at Returns@uBookedMe.com with the following details to initiate the return:

  • Name:
  • Email:
  • Order #:
  • Textbook title (to be returned):
  • Reason for returning

The customer will be responsible for shipping the intended return to uBookedMe.com. The return address will be specified in the confirmation email.

Once the textbook(s) have been received, our uBookedMe staff will review the condition of the textbook and issue the refund via PayPal only if the textbook is deemed in "New Condition." If an intended return is not deemed in "New Condition," the textbook(s) will be shipped back to the original customer. uBookedMe.com is not responsible for any damages to textbooks during re-shipping. All refunds, if any, will be subject to a $10.00 restocking fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount. Refunds will be issued via PayPal to the original email address that placed the order.

FAQ

What is the difference between an international edition and a U.S. edition book?

Here at uBookedMe.com, we offer the international edition of a U.S. edition book. Usually there is no difference in content between the two editions, but some publishers do sometimes make subtle changes in content like changing the number order of sample questions at the end of each chapter. Since we offer so many titles, there is no way we can inform our customers about each and every title that has slight changes in content. Another obvious difference is that most international editions are paperback. When it comes to saving almost half the price, most students will accept the paperbacks and the small chance that there are slight differences in content between editions.

What payment methods do you accept?

We use PayPal to take care of all of our transactions. PayPal accepts all major credit cards, checks, and bank account transfers. More details about PayPal's accepted payments can be found at PayPal.com.

Do you offer any other books?

We are always looking to expand what we offer, so check us out often for updates. If you have seen an international edition title that we do not offer, we most likely can get you the textbook and we promise to give you a competitive price.

How do I get my textbooks?

Your textbooks will be shipped to you within 3-5 days of us processing your order. After you send us your order, we will send you a confirmation of your order. In the confirmation email, we will include a shipping address that PayPal has provided us. Please check the shipping address and inform us as soon as possible if it is incorrect. We will not be responsible if the textbook has already been shipped.

I never got a tracking number for my order. How do I get them?

Tracking numbers will be available when uBookedMe.com receives them. They can be found on your PayPal order details when we update the order status. PayPal will send an email to the original PayPal account email when a tracking number is added to the order details.

I want to return my book. What is considered a book in "new" condition?

A book is in "new" condition if:

  • there are no stains of any sort
  • there is no water damage
  • there are no missing or torn pages/cover
  • there is no writing or highlighting
  • the spine and binding is not broken, and
  • there is no other noticeable, significant damage.

Do I have to enter a promotional code for every book that I add to my cart?

Promotional codes are applied to each book as they are entered. You will not be able to enter more than one promotional code per book, but it is recommended that you enter a promotional code each time you add a textbook to your cart.

What are International Edition textbooks?

Textbook publishers sell their books worldwide and often price them based on book prices and economic conditions of the destination countries. These textbooks sold abroad are referred to "International Editions." The International Edition may or may not include the accompanying CDs, charts, or DVDs. Most importantly, the price is significantly cheaper! The publishers of International Editions generally do not authorize the sale and distribution of International Editions in the United States and Canada and such sale or distribution may violate the copyrights and trademarks of the publishers of such works.

How are International Editions identified?

Generally, the textbook will state "International Edition" on the cover or be included with the publication information inside. To make finding textbooks easier, and to show your purchasing options, uBookedMe.com clearly states that the copy we are offering is an International edition.

How can I tell which textbooks on uBookedMe's website are International Editions?

Each textbook has a short description to the right of the picture. It will clearly state whether the textbook is a U.S. Edition or an International Edition.
